Happy New Year

in #life8 years ago

Of all the holidays that can be observed, New Years is my personal favorite. There is something about having a point in time when one can take inventory on their life, and have a place to start on a new page as it were. Many people claim to make resolutions for the new year, but there has to be something more to motivate a resolution than a date. A resolution, by definition, is the act of reducing something to its simplest parts, like solving a mathematical problem. Experiencing resolution requires character more than time.

One thing that is definitely on my plate for the new year is to spend as much time on Steemit as possible as this is now my favorite place. That has been a challenge since first coming across this site a few weeks ago, as I have been working 12 hour days in order for the tenants to move into their house this weekend.

After reading an article sent to me by @timcliff about what is involved in being a witness, I spoke with a local computer service tech about having a custom built server that he is presently looking into. Even after procuring that, there will be other criteria to meet before seriously entertaining the thought of being a witness. One of those is to read the 417 page Ubuntu server guide.

Another objective is to get back into my naturopathic studies, and complete the work for the next two certificates before moving on to their degree programs. This is another thing that has fallen behind in the past couple weeks. Mind you, it took most of 2016 to complete the first certificate.

Besides that, there is a list of maintenance issues that need attention.

How about you? What would like for the new year to bring?
