The only thing I would partially disagree with is "avoid multitasking" In many work situations one person can handle several stages of work by quickly adapting between tasks.
If you consider a typical work flow, a person covering another station during "slack time" is more efficient than a person doing nothing.
You may be right, I've tried it before, it never worked well for me. Doing my work in batches works better for me.
