RE: What is Copyright? Why copyright is Nonsensical from my Point of View
Ideas belong to no one. I completely agree with that, and this is why IDEAS are not subject to copyright.
As an author, artist, aspiring videographer, and public-speaker, I reserve the copyright on the things that I create from my ideas.
Why?
Because while I share the idea with countless other minds, I invested my time and resources into creating a tangible copiable instance of that idea that is unique to me.
Is it selfish?
Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. It's selfish when I bogart the right to copy my work and demand exorbitant prices and royalties for its use. It's not selfish when I think I should be paid fairly for the fair work I do.
Why shouldn't you get paid for my work?
Let's change the topic from copyright to another type of labor. If you go out and dig a ditch, and I go to the person who hired you to dig the ditch and say, "That's a fine ditch I made for you" and collect your pay, how would you respond?
I'm guessing it would go along the lines of "Fuck you! That's my money! I dug that ditch."
So why do you feel it's different if I sell copies of something else you worked to make and claim credit for the work?
I never said that it is morally wrong to use copyright in the sense of sustainability.
But the cycle of what copyright means is done, it doesn't exist anymore as soon as piracy happened within the digital world, that marked the ending of copyright, and platforms, for example: like google/youtube are trying to make people believe that it still exists. and they are basically enforcing it down your throat.
And they are still cashing in on that false belief, for as long as they possibly can.
I never said you shouldn't get paid for your work but if others use it to get them self some money then I feel they have the right to do so.
And if you paid attention I said I don't give a flying fuck if someone were to use my art or whatever and sells it as their own, at the most I'm being dumb for not selling it in the first place. But that is not what I'm about I have made countless of things for people, for which I could have asked 50-300 euros or more, but didn't.
When it comes to copyright a new system will come into perspective which I'm gonna assume is gonna be incorporated into the AI Technology.
Since much of the society that is to come will be based upon AI Tech.
So I absolutely understand where you come from and that you have this viewpoint, but I'm looking from way up here... And knowing basically that everything is connected means I am you and you are me. So the term stealing doesn't even exist in that sense.
So you are merely a reflection in my own consciousness of my own consciousness just as i am one for you.
To keep each other occupied if you will.
Everything within nature is always an equal exchange even when it may look to you as not equal, it always is, there is no exceptions to that.
But if i were to claim credit on something it would pretty much be 'everything' since my consciousness occupies it all. i Might just be focused right now in a tiny spectrum of light in a dense reality but portions of my consciousness still exist within other levels of reality and dimensions and universe and multiverse and quantaverse and those parts of myself are living their own respective exploration of life and i'm sure they are doing just fine without copyright :''D
