RE: The Billionaire Boys Survival Club

in #life6 years ago

I didn't catch that 'treat them like family' part the first read through, either that, or maybe I read a different article by Rushkoff.

Maybe if they take him up on his advice they'll learn that it feels good to treat people right. Maybe some of them will take it upon themselves to start doing the right thing.

Like exposing what the "event" is before it happens, effectively giving everyone a fighting chance at survival or preparedness.

I have a feeling though, from their perspective it's just a SHTF plan and the only difference between them and us in their minds is they have more money and resources in order to deal with such a scenario.

Sort:

I am not sure the only differences they perceive are based on money and resources, a number of the super rich have actively propagated the idea of culling the population because they are "useless eaters" or mask it behind altruistic bleating about overpopulation and ecological collapse. Some (many?) of them almost certainly believe they are inherently superior to those not in their class and thus unworthy of survival. Scary times.

Oh yeah, no doubt there is a certain class to which we are just a liability to them. They probably own or control private corporations that own shares in the federal united states corporation.
