Citytrip to Wezlar / Tagesausflug nach Wezlar (Trip Diary Part 1)

Hello my dear Steemians / Hallo liebe Steemianer

after almost two weeks of absence I´m back from some really cool short trips visiting some friends and get a glipse of the world. I saw so much and had such a great time that I want it to share it with you before I start on the next trips. I´m so happy with my desicion to take parental leave;-)

Nachdem ich für fast zwei Wochen abwesend war, bin ich froh und voller Tatendrang von meinen kurztrips zu berichten. Es ging quer durch die Republik und auch ins nahe Ausland. Überall dorthin wo es schön ist und sich ein paar Freunde hin verzogen haben. Ich freue mich jedenfalls riesig euch nun hier davon berichten zu können. Ich habe vor das stückchenweise zu schreiben, da es echt sehr viel schönes und sehenswertes dabei rausgekommen, dass es Wert ist richtig präsentiert zu werden.

Lets beginn with a biketrip to a nearby city called Wetzlar.

Fangen wir an mit einem Fahrradtrip nach Wetzlar.

Ich habe auch ein paar Bilder aber die weitaus schöneren zeigen die Stadt, sodass ich mich darauf beschränke.

So lets begin with the place where the old city centre begins and where we locked down our bikes to go for a walk. The city probably was founded in the 3. century and made it up to roughly 50,000 inhabitants.

Beginnen wir mit dem Gangüber eine wunderschöne, alte Steinbrücke, die dein Eingang zur Altstadt bildet.

Here you can see the beautiful stone bridge crossing the river Lahn.

There´s the old church on a hill and the nice small streets of the centre. In the case that your are wondering why the streets are so empty I tell you that the pictures were taken aroun 10:30 am.

At a nice corner we discovered a cool toy that explains the penomena of light refraction with two lasers (red and green), a prism and an artifical diamond. I don´t know how well you can see it on the picture if you are not familiar with such things but for me as a physicist such things are great.

Für mich als Physiker ist es immer schöln zu sehen, wenn wissenschaft für die Kleinen aufbereitet wird. Also beide Daumen hoch!!

As we went for lunchtime we discovered y beautiful small restaurant with a really great bar downstairs in an old stone cellar.

Als wir uns dann einen Platz fürs Mittagessen ausgesucht haben stießen wir auf ein echtes, kleines Schätzschen. Die Bar im Steinkeller war der Hammer. Wenn es abend gewesen wäre, wäare die Atmospäre sicher noch ein bisschen cooler gewesen.
