the ITALIAN Style
Does the Italian style exist?
The Italian creativity and an Italian taste exist and this is a fact. Our fashion reflects a way of seeing typical Italian. Although it is now difficult to talk about fashion by circumscribing it to a country. The Italian design and more, in general, the italian style appreciated and recognized all over the world are the fruit of our culture.
The Italian manner of dress
In Italy, we have many examples of Italian styles, because of the tradition and because they were created by people who have been not only icons but whose style of dressing has become synonymous of Italian manner of dress.
In recent times, it would be enough to think to Salvatore Ferragamo who "dressed" the feet of the most important women in the world, making Italian creativity and craftsmanship known to the world. And then always in Florence we must remember the Marquis Emilio Pucci who, drawing on the flags of the Palio di Siena, created some of the most famous prints in the world today. This style could only be born of us.
Roberto Capucci with his unique creations that reflect Italian culture and his greatness and beauty, realizing true sculptural dresses was the master who dressed the Roman and international aristocracy. And so if we look at Valentino's work that in the 1960s, with his first collection, exports Italian style, the Dolce Vita, Via Veneto, the refined and exclusive world of cinema, of stars and of the big socialites, making the Italian fashion synonymous of elegance and excellence, as Giorgio Armani did ten years later with men's clothing, which became the example of elegance of the Italian man

Gianni Versace, who from Calabria (a southern region of Italy), took posses of the geometric motif called "Greek" because Calabria (his native region) was conolized by greeks centuries ago. And even his logo with the rapresentation of Medus is inspired to an anciet mythological greek story, making it distinctive mark of his style and making him the most famous Italian stylist in the world.
All the history of Sicily, its clothes, tradition, history and habit is enclosed in the fashion of Dolce & Gabbana. From the, typical Sicilian caps (coppole), black undergarments and guêpière, to knitted or crocheted dresses, to the embroideries typical of that one the women themselves had to carry on as gifts for the wedding. Only from this land could start a way of interpreting fashion by creating an unmistakable style.

And the irony of the Italian and the bourgeoisie of Milan in particular was the starting point of Prada's style that knew very well this way of life and always challenged it, looking for alternative ways. Miuccia Prada has dissected the elements that convey this Italian style by removing the boredom of the "too chic" and making them unexpected and international.
And Gucci with his "bracket", which for years was the symbol of the house, deriving from the skill of the master sadlers of Florence
Marras for Kenzo
Antonio Marras who never left his region, Sardinia and who brought in his fabrics collections, workmanship and manner of dressing up of his land. Exporting it abroad also in the collection he designed for Kenzo.
Trussardi
Nicola Trussardi with his family
And then there is a whole Italian manufacture, both for clothing, knitwear and leather, as well as for bags and shoes. From all over the world come fashion designers to produce their collections in Italy. Italian is the spirit of entrepreneurship that is nothing more than a sign of creativity, thanks to the Italian style of excellence, the one made up from large families (as Trussardi) who either pass their knoledge from generation to generation or invent a new story together, safeguarding quality, creativity and Italian uniqueness.
Max Mara and the others...
Achille Maramotti with Max Mara, Della Valle with Tod's, Marzotto with Valentino, Tarabini with Blumarine, Ferretti with Aeffe, Renzo Rosso with Diesel: are just some of the families that continue this tradition in Italian style and today more than ever is a pride for our country.
One of those topics that is possible to talk abroad, only arousing admiration.
