Millennials: Should You DROP OUT of School? How the Education System Is Designed To Make You Fail!

in #life7 years ago

This is just my opinion. I see too many people who have been coerced into believing that getting an education will guarantee them a good job and they’ll be set for life.

Does that mean that education isn’t good? Of course not. We need to keep learning every single day. But the school system itself is largely a failure.

Lots of educated people who believe that their paperwork defines who they are. “I’m a banker” or “I’m a doctor”. And forgetting about the reality of our lives.

I would like to know your thoughts.

Sir, actually no company would ever give a job to anyone not studying formal education.

Countless jobs don't require education. But if you want to become a doctor or engineer, surely you have to go to school for a long period of time. And justifiably so. But the average person ends up in a job that doesn't pay well and they're stuck with massive student debt.

You are right sir.

I Dont Think so.Its Just My Opinion

I think its healthy for people to take a break between high school and university.

I regret not doing this. Here in my country you submit your university preferences in the same month that you have your final assignments and exams that mostly determine your final grades in Year 12. It's a very stressful time and for people who aren't 100% sure on what they want to do it can be difficult to decide what you want to do.

Not only that but you're still 17 years old and not an adult yet and they essentially get you into a contract with your student loans (we have a government loan scheme, we borrow from the government and pay it back when our incomes go over a certain amount later in life in the form of higher taxes).

I think its healthy to take some time after school, maybe 6-12 months to work a job, do some travel and experience life as an adult before locking yourself into 4 years of study and mountains of debt.

I think teachers should make kids more aware of choices in life. At my school it was either get a trade after year 12 or it was go to university. They never talked to kids about a combination of entrepreneurship, part-time study and part-time work as an option for kids before lock into a career.

Good to see you instead of just audio! I totally agree with you in the way you have it framed, because it is just a ploy to encourage debt slavery. However!
Education should be free (it is here in Scotland, unlike the rest of the UK) and it should be about more than just preparing people for employment anyway. If it is done properly it gives us a thirst to learn for the rest of our lives.
Crafts, trades and practical skills need to be as valued in society as intellectual pursuits, so that young people who are not especially academic don't feel like failures. Finally, employers should be responsible for providing proper training / education for their staff. Resteeming.
