My Top 5 Travel Experiences of 2017
It's the last day of 2017 and so I thought I'd share some of my favourite experiences from this incredible year!
1 - Backpacking in Morocco
I'll start this chronologically and go all the way back to my first trip of the year in January. I spent 3 weeks backpacking through Morocco on my own, trying to see as much of the country as I could while sticking to a shoestring budget.
From the madness of Marrakesh to the stillness of the Atlas mountains, from the blue city of Chefchauen to the red hot Sahara desert - Morocco is a country of contrast that I'd highly recommend.
2 - Kerala Blog Express
I had the chance to explore Kerala for 2 weeks on the Kerala Blog Express, a free trip that I won enabling me to explore one of the most beautiful areas of India!
For 14 days we travelled through Kerala in a luxury coach seeing everything the area had to offer - and trying some of the best food I've ever tasted.
3 -The Lanka Challenge
This was probably my overall favourite experience of 2017 - I got to race around Sri Lanka in a Tuk-Tuk!
For 10 days myself and two friends drove around the North of Sri Lanka in a 3 wheeler, going across some crazy terrain and meeting local people around the country. It was an epic experience that I can hardly describe, so much happened in those 10 days and I've been telling everyone about it ever since.
4 - Climbing Mount Rinjani, Indonesia
This is something I've always wanted to do and glad I finally got to tick it off in 2018. Me and my girlfriend @oliviadejeu climbed to the top of Indonesia's second largest volcano.
It definitely wasn't easy, but it was all worth it in the end when we were rewarded with some of the best views I've ever seen.
5 - World's Highest Bungee Jump, Macao
This is something I wasn't sure I'd ever get to do but so glad that I got the chance! At 233 meters, the Hackett Bungee Jump off the Macau Tower is the highest in the world. I was lucky enough to be invited to Macao as a photographer / blogger and I wasn't going to miss this opportunity.
The first chance I got, I made the leap.

And that's it!
Honestly this year has been the best year of my life and I can't wait to see what next year brings. The plans for 2018 are generally the same as they always are for me - more travel and more new experiences!
I can't wait to share everything I'll get up to next year here on Steemit and dTube.

The Lanka challange loks crazy! I hope we will get to travel as much as you next year ... for now 2 trips planed: Morocco and Gueadeloupe!
