Today, I walked for about 50 min and went to give my apartment key to one of my friends, so she can take care of Nekotan (my cat) while I am gone to Vancouver.

All my meals today were home prepared

What's on the menu for today?


BreakfastNutritional Value: ~ 600 Cal

I should call it brunch, since I mostly have my breakfast around afternoon time. I didn't plan what I wanted to eat ahead of time, so I listened to my body's voice to tell me me "What it felt like having"

My body felt like having bagels with almond butter and fruits. So that was what I had for my brunch today (The picture is before adding the almond butter) 😁

As you can see from the calorie count. It was very satisfying with a good balance of carbs and fat


LunchNutritional Value: ~ 100 Cal

I snacked on a pear between brunch and dinner.


DinnerNutritional Value: ~ 700 Cal!!

For my dinner I made a traditional dish from my home city we call it Kabsa(similar to Indian Biryani but not as spicy). It has rice, beef, onions, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and a mixture of spices.

It was tasty and very filling.

For salad, I had lettuce


Midnight snackNutritional Values: ~ 250 Cal

For my snack, something around 250 cal max should be good



Estimated Total Cal Intake: ~ 1650 (With the midnight snack)

Estimated Total Cal Burned: ~ 1650 (based on Fitbit)

Estimated Total Spending: ~ 5$



Final Notes:

  • I am glad I had a chance to eat at home today.
  • As of tomorrow, I am traveling to Vancouver for few days. Will try to update you from the rainy city

All in all, the day was great 😁

You are walking more and eating really well. I think this will make a big difference. Breakfast has fewer calories this time and you used all of them. Ha ha. Smile Smile. I like words better than emoticons. One of the things that helped me the most was ping pong. At first I was such a lousy player that I got exercise from laughing at my mistakes. Now I love the game and this is what gets me away from stress of daily life and family. Hope you cat and house will be fine. Have a good time in Vancouver.

The most thing I love about eating, is using all the calories I ate. So I can go back to eat some more! Hahahaha

I never tried ping pong. It must be lots of fun. But laughing at your mistakes is the best way to enjoy the game and get the benefit of playing it, plus the benefits of being happy.
