Cock fighting in the Philippines

Many say its wrong, many want the sport to be banned. It is as controversial as bullfighting in Spain. Yet we know that so many countries still practice this activity with people betting big money on a bloodbath.

We attended one of the cockfights in Bantayan, Cebu. The experience was so shocking. Cocks after cocks came in to fight. Some fights lasting only a few seconds!
