Clean Slate

Now that he holiday season is over, I have a few minutes to sit and reflect on what I would like to see happen in 2019.
In my goal setting, I must realize that the only person and circumstances I can control, are myself and those circumstances I create.
It is never the situation itself that causes our stress or worry, it is our emotional reaction to it. That is what I can attempt to control. Or let's say, be mindful or aware of.
I want to be fully present in the moment and give every minute my best and most positive self I can be.
It's funny, as I write this my brain keeps thinking about all of the things I need to do or should have done last year. Fill out forms, get tshirt order filled for second walk, write my correspondences, contact the newspaper.. the exact opposite of healthy, mindful thinking.
However, I caught myself ;)
Over thinking and constantly playing movies in your mind is not necessarily a bad thing, if you can use it beneficially. I like to think of them as the weights to my brain, thanks to Shauna Shapiro.
When I find myself not present in the moment, drifting away into thoughts of the past or future, the 'what ifs' and 'instead of that' situations; I appreciate that I became aware of my rapid thoughts, thank myself for growing, and focus on the present.
So, in the present moment now.
I feel like this is going to be a busy and changing year for me. I would like to focus on my organization and time management skills.
I have a lot of passions and hobbies, but I also have responsibilities now that I am going to be starting the 5th support group in all of Canada for CRPS.
I would like to have at least 2 entries on here a week (Since there has been concern from users in the past, my blog is on WordPress and steemit so I can reach more people with inspiration. But they are both me.) Along with 2 positive quote pictures created a week to post on social media and spark smiles.

I am also starting a small craft business this year with my sister. She is an amazing artist, I'm not just saying it because she is my sister either, girl can paint. But we will be making resin jewelry with nature and fungi themes, along with upcycled crafts and nature themed goodies. Oh yes, I used the word goodies.
I am going to be true to myself and what makes me happy. Laughter is the best medicine and it is contagious, aren't we lucky? I am a positive person with inspiration to make today a better day, no matter what life hands us.
Little update in my medical situation for those that are following for the journey:
With the colder weather (-19 for the past few days), my CRPS and fibromyalgia are in full flare. I worry it may be traveling to my right foot now too, I have to sit in the shower sometimes because it feels like I have blisters on the bottom of my foot. Cold porcelain meeting warm water I think is setting my nerves into a frenzy. I can't stretch my neck without getting a headache for hours and to top it off, I have had a major sinus infection for too long. But. I have my first appointment with my new pain specialist on January 8th! So close, I can feel my desperation for positive answers or treatment plan. I have tried 6 stellate ganglion blocks, over 20 nerve blocks, a week of photon therapy and many medications. The only thing that kind of helps is marijuana and I do not have a prescription. So I am smoking an unhealthy amount of non medicinal grade marijuana, trying to accomplish some relief. But my lungs and body are tired of smoking and I need relief. Positive thoughts for some answers next week!
So with all of this said, I wish for this year to be mindful, productive, positive and potentially better health conditions. But it's ok if not :)
I welcome 2019 with open arms and no expectations from anyone or anything other than me, myself and I :)
