It can feel impossible to move toward your dreams. You know exactly what you want to do, but there are endless obstacles in your way.

Competition is one of them. Thousands or millions of people competing to do exactly what you want to do.

All of us have dreams and plans. At the start of the year, you might have thought about the things you’d like to do in 2018. Today, two weeks later, some of those thoughts might have already be forgotten. That’s the problem with all of us. We dream. We think. We make plans. But when it comes to actually doing it? WE FLOP.

We all have some special powers. It’s all about using them in the best possible way. I have a friend who sings really well. He makes videos, do events but still, he is not happy with the progress. Let me tell you why!

He isn’t consistent.
He doesn’t believe in himself.
He isn’t willing to pay the price.

These three things are really important to achieve all those things you want. To turn your dreams into reality. To live the life you want. To be successful.

1. Consistency

It is really really important. Please read that again. Don’t wait for the perfect moment to do something. Don’t wait for the perfect post or the perfect video. It’s not about “Perfect”. It’s about effort. And when you bring that effort every single day, that’s where transformation happens. That’s how change occurs. Consistency is the key. If you good at writing, then just write. Write every day. That’s how you will improve and grow. Write a post every day for next six months and trust me you will find so many errors in your first one. How? Because you improved your writing with time. You were consistent.
Now, write a post a month for the next six months. You won’t be satisfied or happy with the results.

Consistency helps you in improving, in getting better at what you do and helps you in growing.
If you don’t believe me, try it! :)

2. Believe in your dreams

Faith is important. It motivates you. If you don’t believe in your dreams, who will do it for you? If you can imagine yourself traveling the world in your 20s, if you have that faith and confidence, you can do it. Trust me. It’s a big thing.
You can do what you believe you can do. To succeed, we must first believe that we can. Your belief shape your actions and your actions shape your result, but first, you have to believe.
It gives you strength and the confidence.

3. Pay the price

Everything has a cost. Good is the enemy of great. And that is one of the key reasons why we have so little that becomes great. Few people attain great lives, in large part because it is just so easy to settle for a good life.
People who prefer to live a “normal” life don’t want to pay most of the costs of an extraordinary life. Everything worthwhile in life has an opportunity cost. If you accept opportunity “A,” that means passing on opportunity “B.” You have to give up something in order to accomplish something else.

If you want to live an extraordinary life for the long-term, you’ll need to give up some things in the short-term. Some of these things may be dear to you, which makes them extremely difficult to let go. No one said this would be easy.

It might mean giving up some of their favorite foods so they can finally see abs they’ve never seen before. It might mean seeing friends less often in order to do the work necessary to succeed. It might mean declining wedding invitations because the trips are too expensive. Maybe it means giving up sleeping in so you can have more time in your days. Maybe it means saying no to opportunities at work so you can remain a loving, present father to your children.

All great opportunities cost “good” ones.

Hello @theglowingedge

You write really well. I can tell you are a storyteller. Keep it up!

This touched me tonight, as I often travel and work in Asia but my family and children are in Australia. "...saying no to opportunities at work so you can remain a loving, present father to your children"...

Stay connected.
