I had a friend who was a cashier, he used to say people treated him inhumanly like a machine, not even a greeting. So I hear you, if we can make people feel valued and visible even with a small act as greeting a cashier, the world will be a bette place!
I've heard similar stories, and I think we definitely have to change that. Cashiers and other employees are all humans to, so we should really try to spread more positivity and make EVERYONE around us happy!
