Yesterday was Saturday and unfortunately (or not) I had to work.
The first stop of my day I was greeted by these friendly little frogs, which put a smile on my face and let me know that it would be a relatively good work day.
I say good work day, but health wise it wasn’t the best due to something I had eaten the night before not agreeing with my stomach at all...! As far as I can tell it was the nasty Atkins pizza.
While I was thinking in regret of eating that and having a lot of stomach pain all day, I came across this grand opening of a McDonald’s. No health food there to help with a soured stomach!
Despite that, there was a line of people out the door and around the building! I was amazed! Have these people never eaten at a McDonald’s before?!? The drive thru was a similar situation, with cars lined up in the drive thru itself and spilling out the driveway into the street.
I just drove by and laughed... 😆
Later on in the work day I came across this dusty car that had the word FAME written on the window that someone had scribbled out.
To me it served as a poignant reminder that fame isn’t important and shouldn’t be the focus of life. In social media (that included Steemit) people are always trying to earn fame all the time and start doing crazy stunts and stuff to constantly keep the people talking about them.
I prefer to just be me and live my life and document the snippets of it on the block chain. If no one ever read my words or looked at my pictures I would be fine with that, but when people do read and comment it’s always nice and I see it as a “bonus”.
Since my stomach was still in pain from eating “off plan” the night before, I decided to eat “on plan” this night.
I didn’t really feel like eating the zucchini and corned beef, but it did help in the long run. I put a few spices and mustard this time, and I really felt the mustard made the meal feel much “heavier” to eat.
Even though my stomach was feeling better, I still wasn’t 100% so I decided to play my Pokémon game on my DS.
I got pretty engrossed in the game and my stomach was still feeling a bit uneasy, so when my stomach felt like it was okay and I was really tired I was a little surprised to see that it was 2AM.
It’s kind of been a long time since I’ve stayed up so late, even though I used to do it quite regularly. It’s funny how quickly the body changes and adapts to different sleep schedules and how jarring it can be to suddenly deviate from the norm.

Until next time...
