America - DIVIDED we fall
America is pretty well fucked now...
Over the last 30 years the crony capitalism, corruption, and greed have destroyed America. We are now at a very pivotal moment. One in which we choose to unite and change the system, or we choose to let our country full on collapse.
Although I despise president Trump, I do not blame him for this situation we are now in. He is not the cause, he is the symptom. He played the electoral collage just right, and he pandered to people who are hurting, and have been screwed over by oligarchs all their lives. He tricked them into thinking he would really help them.
Trump is not to blame for that, but he has not done anything to help the situation. In fact he constantly alienates people from all walks of life, and is turning the world against us (even more).
We as a society need to get back to the basics. We need to value human life more than money. We need to help our poor and homeless. We need to educate our citizens and find some common ground. This is not about pride or opinion. This is about survival.

Excellent post. Concise and to the point (the "point" being your sub-heading). It's so true that the USA is hardly the country it was – even as it was a just few decades ago.
As for the "divided" problem, the most terrifying division is the wealth gap, which is increasing to unsustainable extremes. As the middle class is eviscerated, you'll be left with only a tiny but very wealthy upper class, separated from the massive lower class by a huge wealth gap.
That's a defining feature of third-world economies, where all wealth keeps trickling upwards – inexorably. Good luck avoiding that, but it's now at a point where more than luck is needed. You need a major systemic change, and that's not going to come without a concerted effort.

Well said! That is definitely one of my biggest concerns. We have it in us to change things, but I fear people have lost too much hope to try, or they just throw up their arms and say to hell with it.
A huge problem now is mass confusion when it comes to news. People don't trust mainstream media, so they watch news online and increasingly become encased in a bubble where they are only hearing things that back up and justify their own beliefs.
Now people need to be fact checking news because everything is spun.
Maybe someone is working on some kind of decentralized verification of news project. They can call it truth token :p
Edit: There are apparently multiple projects focused on this exact idea. One of them is the decentralized news network. I have not looked into it yet, but I plan to when I have some time.
Now there's an idea! May it bear fruit.
Well said. Humans are loosing the basics, being blinded by greed.
It is so unrelenting. I hope we can make this change.
