I Want My Sleep Back!!

I hate not having a sleep schedule!


I go to sleep at 4 am and wake up at 13 pm, that’s not how a person should sleep at all!
Not having a sleep schedule makes me tired during the day, I almost don’t see any sun so I feel like a white walker from Game of Thrones, I feel lazy all day long, my brain either tells me “ It’s too late to study and work” or it tells me “It’s too early to study and work”, my meal plans are all mixed up, I have a fixed meal plan for all the meals I have to eat during the day, bodybuilding style, but if I wake up late I don’t want to waste time cooking my food, so I mostly go and switch my 13 pm meal with my 16 pm meal, I hate doing that !

Hopefully with classes and all that my sleep schedule will be right back on track, my main problem is college parties, in 1 week I have between 2 to 3 parties, all of them end at 4 am, and if I don’t go I start hearing all these comments that I’m becoming “antisocial”, etc…etc… At least they stopped trying to make me drink alcohol, I “stopped” 4 years ago, it was probably the hugest change in my life, I only drink it on really rare occasions now, I’ll keep this story for another time.

I’m not a workaholic, but sometimes I feel better working than on holidays, I'm much more proactive and actually achieve something with the right sleep schedule. That’s why I started steemit, I made steemit my work during the holidays, I had to go to bed every day at 1 am and wake up at 9 pm, I had a schedule, I love schedules, unless I’m traveling, when I’m traveling if I have to sleep 2 hours I will sleep 2 hours, If I have to eat only 1 meal a day, I eat only 1 meal a day. Last time I went travelling was to go to a musical festival, 2 years ago, 10 days of only eating 1-2 meals a day, sometimes I didn’t sleep for 2 whole days, my brain went AFK after the third night, he just gave up and told me he would come back when I got home, I was powered by caffeine, alcohol and tuna sandwiches I bought at the local supermarket.

What about you guys? Don’t you guys feel better with schedules? Or do you prefer your life all unscheduled? Maybe you prefer the simple surprise “factor” that unscheduled time brings to your life!

Great post in my opinion a weekly schedule is the best way to work or well that's what seems to be working for me.

ahhh - i remember those days. hang in there and just try to fit it all in as much as you can. a few years from now, youll actually have nice nostalgic memories of some of those all-nighters ;p

Yeah, i'm creating good memories from all the parties, but trying to balance everything is quite hard, and next year i'm going to start working nights in the veterinary hospital as a student, at least i can do some steemit posts in the hospital xD

That's the great thing about being a computer science student. Nobody expects you to go to parties in the first place. 😅

But jokes aside. I don't really like parties. At least those parties with stupidly loud music and that go on forever. I prefer a nice and calm chat with my friends in a bar or at home. As a result I can (at least kind of) manage my sleeping schedule. And boy can I tell you, you'll feel so much better and more energetic if you get up at the same time each day! I usually only allow my self one or at most two more hours from usual on weekends. It takes a little getting used to but you feel so much better.

That's the great thing about being a computer science student. Nobody expects you to go to parties in the first place.

The thing is that i'm a vet student, my parties are populated with girls, and boobs, and girls!

My sleep schedule is back on track atm, woke up at 8 am xD Much more energetic, and actually getting some work done! I love to wake up early, i found my solution to wake up early, i might do a post about it, maybe today depending on the amount of work i have to do!

If I don't follow a schedule literally I do nothing.. I may leave everything to be done later and later and that always ends up to never. I have a tendency to procrastination which I try hard to fix.. I never sacrifice my sleep though as if I do so I end up a zombie.

I guess we aren't opposites on all things, i also procrastinate when my sleep schedule goes crazy, i'm going to do a post about "how to fix my sleep schedule" probably going to do it today,today i woke up at 8 am, i got a small trick on how to fix my sleep schedule pretty fast, i might do a steemstem post about, if i do it will take more time to write, since i have to source all images and all info... I'll let you know when i post it so you can do the same thing and fix yours
Yes! never sacrifice your sleep! 8 hours is a must! Lack of sleep as been linked with numerous brain diseases, we need sleep for the brain to filter out all the crap that he builds during the day, toxins,etc...

Oh I'm looking forward to read that post! I also have many friends who have sleep issues and they've tried almost everything to fix it but didn't work..
What helps me to fall asleep easier is taking deep breaths with some pauses in between..
I also read somewhere that in order to have a quality 8 hour sleep you have to fall asleep at 23.00 o clock :/ That sounds impossible though..
So I'm ready to read your post on all that :)

bed at 23h? that's just sourcery, i usually go to bed at 12pm 1 am tops, unless like i told in the post i have my sleep schedule all messed up, i once got it so messed up that for a week i went to bed at 6 am and woke up at 16pm, ofc this was during holidays

Somewhat some things in my life are tightly organised some less it depends on what. As for the party thing I avoid them at all cost . Have you thought about maybe making monthly dinner parties with people you really like at your house like that you are social but do not have to deal with the rest of the mess ..

That's not a bad idea, the problem is that i'm a very social person, i would have to have a mansion to house all these ppl, i have like 4 or 5 groups of ppl, only at college i would have to invite around 15 ppl, all my friends, all their girlfriends, etc... etc...
I don't mind going out once in a while, as soon as i see it's too much to handle i put a break and stop going out
BTW don't know if you ever checked my Dog food post, you should check it, since you like dogs and all :) it's about dog foods and cancer

nods I will . And I make my own dogfood so they won't plus my dogs are plant based and thriving as you can see with there very high ages my Romeo just turned 14 and my shadow wil be 14 this summer and the rest are not far behind.

I prefer busy like hell :) But I can't stay up eating 2 meals out of 10 days....

Even sleep schedules? I feel my "proactiveness" lowers a lot when i mess up my sleep schedule, i like to wake up, take a double shot of Nespresso and work, if i wake up at 13 pm i need to eat, than a few hours later eat again, after that is gym time then dinner time, and at night i would rather go watch a movie or something...
