The Go-Giver Leader- Interview with Bob Burg

So many in life value being a “Go-Getter” which means someone who is hustling. There is nothing wrong with that concept in and of itself. However, I like the term that has been coined by my friend Bob Burg and his co-author, John David Mann. They use the term “Go-Giver” and have three best-selling books on that topic.

In this interview I ask Bob about the book and we talk about the concepts that are needed to be a leader who is giving and encouraging others. If you are working with or hanging around others, you’ll want to listen to this video as we cover a lot of useful concepts and ideas for working with others and making win-win a reality, not just a good idea.

I love the way Bob Burg stresses the importance of helping others and being a person who gives value first --- hence the "Go-Giver" --- and makes the lives of others far better because they had a chance to help others. This is a true free market way to approach life. Create value first, then people will want to do business with you because they realize they will be better off buying your products and services.

Listen as we go through various sections of this great book and relate the story to how you can use these principles to make your own life better. Bob Burg relates how the principles of doing what is right for others is far better in the long run for everyone. Sometimes people will try to cut corners and are even willing to hurt others for short-term gain. The principle of the Go-Giver Leader is to do what is right for others and your company and in the long-run you will be better off.

Not only is this a good idea, but it translates well to the bottom line. As people know your reputation as someone who genuinely and sincerely seeks to help them, they will remember you. They'll want to do more business with you. We see that being good and doing good is not only the right thing to do but is the best what to do well in business.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, my fellow Steemians. I appreciate you very much and look forward to hearing from you. Let’s tell others about this. Please Upvote and Resteem this so we know you like it and can share more like this with others.

I really look forward to hearing from you!
