Not sure if subjectivity is really arrogance, it seems more like it's probably honesty. Although honesty and correctness don't necessarily go hand in hand, to much objectivity leaves you in a null emotionless abyss. Furthermore "good manners" is just lying with a smile as far as I'm concerned. Technically I'm being objective about it. If you say something other than what you really think or feel then you are lying. And if good manners takes you far then what this post is promoting is lying to others for your own benefit. I mean, unless I'm mistaken.
