The Meditating Alien
Here's an interesting thought experiment. When you enter a deep meditative state, who are you? what do you look like? what does your voice sound like? It seems to me that as soon as you separate your ego you can become anyone or anything due to the act of attempting to deconstruct your self into its purest form. So... in a world where millions of people are doing such a thing, it's safe to assume that we're all aiming to tap into the same state of existence?
Now let's take a hypothetical look into a distant galaxy where an alien civilization exists, one as intelligent as ours, with an equivalent form of meditation which is used in their culture to attain that very state of existence, is it possible that there is an unspoken dimension where all beings can enter into, despite the vast boundaries of time and space?
Another way to look at this is to imagine gazing at a night sky full of stars. Imagine if one of those stars had a planet orbiting around it with an alien is staring right back into you. You don't know each other exist, yet you're connected through the same wave of consciousness; to them... you're the meditating alien.
