La palabra "Penetrar"
La palabra "Penetrar" deriva del latín penus "víveres, provisiones", que solían guardarse en una despensa ubicada en la parte más interna y profunda de una casa. En un principio penetrar hacía referencia a llegar al interior de un espacio, internarse profundamente. Así la protección y bienestar del hogar y la familia, incluido el pater familias, se encomendaba a los Penates, los dioses del penus, a quienes se asignaba un santuario situado en la parte más profunda de su vivienda.
