LIFE IS LIKE A FLOWER

When we were young

We were like this tiny bud

Dependent and looking helpless

We need someone to take care of us

Showered with love and affection

We did our best to get others' attention

Slowly yet surely we grew

Blossoming like a beautiful flower with dew

Slowly taking form... slowly maturing

Adjustments we faced seems so unending

Waiting for our own spring to come

Expectant of the years we're about to overcome

We opened our eyes to numerous and various things

Slowly accepting... halfly dreaming

We struggled and yet we learned

We failed wonderfully and bounced back magically

Like flowers, we continued to grow

Live flowers, we shone and smiled

Influencing the the environment even the wild

And then, we finally reach our peak

We even entice a bird's thirsty beak

We live our life to the brim

We learned to live our own dream

Successful and selfless; that's what we yearn to become

Giving it our all until we go back to where we came from

The pictures I used in this post are taken from my mama @arashikawaii's garden. This is actually the same flower and I took it consecutively for 4 days. I took the 4th picture today and I'm really glad to document this flower's growth. Influenced by this flower, I was able to write this poem. Life is indeed like a flower! There are various things that can influence our growth... we meet a lot of people and we experience a lot of things that makes us become what and who we are now. And at the same time, just like flowers, we also influence others. We play a significant role in their lives as well.

Let's live life wonderfully. Let's influence and be influenced. Let's respect and be respected. Let's love and be loved. Have a great day everyone!
