How the brain looks at hallucinogenic mushrooms?

Those who use substances or plants with hallucinogenic properties describe their "trip" as an experience to raise awareness, and according to some new research, these experiences have a scientific background.

In the normal state of the brain, there is little cross-links between different networks. But scientists have found that under the influence of psilocybin, networks start to connect and these new connections which is not random.
This confirms the statement users about the effects of psilocybin, as new knowledge and realization, synesthesia and non-linear thinking, ie, enhanced states of consciousness.

Scientists have used a new technique for modeling networks in the brain, which is designed to reveal the connections in the brain, instead of isolated systems or substances. The researchers compared the fMRI scans of people who had taken psilocybin with fMRI scans of people taking a placebo. They were looking for a functional connection or communication between different brain regions that share functional properties.

Experts state that although it would simply read the data meant that psilocybin simply relaxes restrictions on the functions of the brain and improves cognitive flexibility, it is a little more complicated. In fact, after taking psilocybin, the brain retains some organizational features, although it differs from the normal state. Functional connection support cycles that are particularly stable and which are present only in a psychedelic state.

Previous research found that people on psilocybin had patterns of brain activity often associated with dreaming and increased emotional effect. This is explained by the fact that triggering the emotion, "ego system" in the brain, from which we get a sense of themselves, is muted.

This new research is just one of a growing body of evidence that the psychedelics certainly be used in the treatment. Research from 2012 showed that psilocybin can be an effective intervention in depressive thinking, while research from 2014 found that LSD psychotherapy can be effective in relieving anxiety in a patient suffering from a terminal illness. Presentation of the research on ayahuasca as a potential treatment for PTSD, addiction and other conditions.

All these scientific evidence that they are constantly on the rise, should lead not only to new research, but also decriminalization substances present in nature that has long been known to cure its positive effects.

It is time to break down prejudices!

Psychedelics can induce a very strange state of the feeling of meeting a new real person(me) that is what I would be if I was not "educated" or constrained by society and feel the real connection to nature and other people.
Looks like that would be your true self without all the false selves we were educated, like a mask that psychedelics unveil.
