Butterfly Festival
Yesterday was a beautiful sunny Saturday and unfortunately I had two adult beverage tasting scheduled to work. So my husband planned a great day for him and Leyna to enjoy the fabulous day-Butterfly Festival at a city park. I picked out a pretty dress for Leyna, butterflies of course, and was happy for them to have a daddy-daughter day. My husband sent me pictures throughout the day and it looked like it was the weekend event for our community.
Leyna met a little girl and made friends for life.
The longest line of the day was the face painting booth and I think it was worth the wait. Leyna was very proud to pick out her look all by herself.
Inside the butterfly house are so many things to explore! There were even newly hatched butterflies coming out of their chrysalis.
Close Memorial Park has a beautiful hydrangea garden and Leyna created some great poses for the camera to share.
There was drama too... skipping along then tripping on the sidewalk- scraped knees are sometimes the end of the world. They can make the best day ever turn into the worst day ever...
But daddy came to the rescue with a band-aid and was the official hero of the day!!!
And to top it off with ice cream is the literal cherry 🍒 on top!! You know it was a good day when you are even too tired to finish your sundae.
Gotta say it was good day✌🏻💗🦋
Looks like Leyna had an awesome day in spite of the scraped knee. That last pic is so cute!
Thanks! I think she really enjoyed herself!!!
