What are some of the best moments of humanity?

Here are some moments of humanity in the field of sports:

1. Ivan Fernandez Anaya, a Spanish athlete, intentionally loses race so that the opponent can win.

Fernandez Anaya was trailing behind Olympic bronze medallist Abel Mutai during a cross-country race in Burlada, Navarra. Mutai was leading comfortably until he pulled up 10 to 20 metres short of the finish line thinking the race was already over. Anaya had a chance to surge ahead. But instead of passing Mutai, he slowed down and told Mutai to keep running. Since they didn't speak a common language, he gestured frantically at Mutai who went on to win the race.
His actions may not have earned him the win, but they did earn him many new fans!

2. Meghan Vogel, a runner from the West Liberty-Salem High School , helping opponent Arden McMath to the finish line after McMath collapsed yards short in the 3200 meter finals. Rather than run by her, Vogel helped McMath to her feet and carried her across the finish line, making sure to keep McMath ahead of her.

Sir Nicholas Winton was perhaps one of the greatest heroes of the Holocaust - he saved the lives of 669 children. Yet his story was untold until almost half a century later. The story begins just before Christmas in 1938, when he passed up a ski-trip to instead go to Prague and assist his friend with refugee work.Nazi Germany was beginning to occupy then-Czechoslovakia, and Jewish refugees were streaming into Prague. But they had nowhere to go, as almost all of Europe had closed its doors to them. Sir Winton was a stock broker - not a charity worker. But he was touched by the plight of these children.
