Since November 20th, 1989, it is celebrated as "World Children's Rights Day" by the United Nations (UN) in order to expose the violations of the rights of children worldwide.
On November 20, 1989, the United Nations General Assembly signed the "Convention on the Rights of the Child" to celebrate the 20th of November, "World Children's Rights Day", on the occasion of the 20th of November, 1989, in particular, to protect and improve the conditions of life struggling in war and poverty-stricken geographies.
The UN has aimed to secure children's rights through this agreement and has forced the States parties to change their domestic laws in accordance with the 54-item contracts.
The contract, signed by a total of 193 countries, has the feature of being an international document signed by the most numerous countries and entering into force as soon as possible. The contract, based on the principle of sheltering children on safe and healthy conditions, regardless of gender, religion, language, race and social status, includes standards and obligations that are mutually agreed upon on an international basis and can not be changed. A UN Committee on the Rights of the Child has been established by the UN in order to check the regulations and changes that the ratifying states will implement in their domestic laws and to publish these changes every five years.
CHILDREN'S RIGHTS THAT COME UPON THE NAME OF THE NAME
In the book "How to Love a Child" published by the Polish educator Janusz Korczak in 1919, he talked about children's rights and put them on the agenda. The first text on children's rights was obtained in 1917, after the October Revolution, by the Moscow Branch of the socialist cultural organization Proletkult, entitled "Declaration of the Rights of the Child".
The first text to be published is the Geneva Convention on the Rights of the Child, which was adopted by the League of Nations in 1924.
This declaration was adopted by the United Nations in its constitution, updated on November 20, 1959 as the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child, and amended by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child on 20 November 1989.
