You’d never really know, how a child will turn out to be
You can’t really tell, how much he/she is going to change as they grow
We’d never really know, why we don’t get to choose our relatives
You can’t really tell, if where you’d rather prefer to be is actually better

You’d never really know, how loudly she sings in the bathroom
You can’t really tell, how much she pines for love
You’d never really know, what keeps her up at night
You can’t really tell, what’s going on in that busy mind of hers when her lips are shut
The pain behind the eyes and the guile beneath the smile.
