While I don't mean to stir drama, this post caught my eye.

There's a few things which I consider wrong there, and I thought it'd be worthwhile elaborating on them.

Confidence is lack of anxiety.

That's it. That's just it.

Some might say that confidence stems from ones personality (or as @sandram put it "who you are at your core").

That assertion falls flat on its face. Take into account the millions of people who suffer from social anxiety.

That is what they are at their core. And to move on, they have to change. There's no way around it.

A change of perspective is a change in our identity. Because how we see the world impacts how we see ourselves.

And no. "Feeling amazing despite failure" doesn't indicate confidence. It indicates massive emotional problems.

Normal people get insecure sometimes.
Normal people feel bad when they fail.

Yet those are two separate issues. You can both be insecure, have anxiety... and still win.
All it takes is some discipline. Or therapy.

Just some food for thought.

Sincerely,

Reading this felt like looking in a mirror.

Yeah, certain mindsets are very damaging to people who adopt them.

It's one of those points for me, which just get me boiling mad.
