TIL - How to do the first step and ask for her / his number
'Every step you take in the right direction is the beginning of something amazing. Put your best foot forward and start walking your talk.'
In times of emancipation we (girls) are getting more rights but also more duties. The easy years when a girl just needed to stand at the bar waiting for somebody to start talking to her are definitely over. Thank you, emancipation! :-) It´s time to be creative though...
Obviously doing the very first step requires a lot of courage. Your chances to succeed are similiar to the ones playing roulette: Red or black. Or she/he likes me or she/he dislikes me. 50/50. All or nothing!
What if you didn´t ask and would miss the chance to meet the love of your life?
5 ways to get her / his number
First, you have to know that I am a girl, and I can´t swear that these 'techniques' also work the other way around. Second: The given examples are based on true stories - and all of them went well (I got the guys´ numbers, haha). Third: No chances of success assured (no Steem Power refund :-)).
- 'I would regret if I left the party without knowing you.' (sounds simple, but is authentic and therefore effective)
- Wait until he/she leaves. 'Sorry but you cannot leave, we haven´t known each other yet. I would at least need your number to call you tomorrow.' (great chance of success since it´s a bit cheeky)
- When he/she looks at her phone. 'I guess this is the perfect moment to give you my phone number now?' (great chance of success since it´s smart and self-confident)
- 'Please apologize I have been staring at you like this. You just reminded me of somebody. Now I know of whom: you truly look like my very best friend.' (may sound a bit constructed and superficial, but the best friend is key for confidence and therefore a good start)
- 'I have been wondering which might be the best way to start a conversation with you during the past two hours. I still have no idea, but maybe you do?'
Number 3 is my favourite since it was actually the beginning of a very long lasting relationship. Not kidding! :-) In the end it´s all about trying. We actually haven´t anything to lose but the chance of meeting a wonderful person.

Good luck & happy weekend, Steemians!

I usually say, "Hi honey, my wife thinks I am at the grocery." Just kidding of course, I usually say nothing because I like being married.
LOL - your wife can be happy to have such a humorous husband ;-)
I tell her all the time, she is one lucky girl.
number 3 is a good one. I will have to bank that one. ^^
Hehe it's yours ;-))
which one works best on you?
Hahaha, good question! I guess you'd have to make me laugh, that's it ;-)
