Forbidden night-time sins | Why pancakes at 2:30am are simply the best

Night-time snacks surely are one of the most attractive forbidden things in the World. Actually I cannot find any acceptable reasons to resist them. Night-time pancakes even help to improve our relationships!
Night-time sins - the magical forbidden endorphine boost
How many times did you ran into a doorpost in the deepest darkness on your way to the fridge? How many times were you tiptoeing along the corridor, praying nobody would wake up while you were approaching the kitchen at 2:30am in the morning?
Dark kitchens are magical places
By night every kitchen turns into a magical and also romantic cave. How many times have you been sitting with a friend in the kitchen, talking about everything and everybody, completely forgetting time and the World around you? How many times have you enjoyed that special and inspiring silence? How many times have you considered stopping time, wishing these moments were endless?
The kitchen is always the best place to be - for everything. The kitchen is the heart of a house. It´s where the family comes together, it´s where we talk, discuss, laugh, cry, hug, console, argue, make love and do our homework.
Although you cannot here all these noises at night anymore, even in the dark the kitchen is full of vitality. It´s like if it conserved a silent echo of the daily activities.
People feel comfortable in the kitchen, and that´s also why.....

Elizabeth Razzi said: 'Our entertaining space is near the hearth - the kitchen and family room - because everybody knows a good party always ends up in the kitchen.'
Kitchen parties are aloud - unless it´s 2:30am in the morning and you are on a lonely mission... When you are sneaking around the house in order to fulfill your nighty cravings, the last thing you need is.... being catched!
When you party alone: just don´t let them know :-)
That awkward moment when they catch you.....
We all know this moment, when you stand in front of the fridge, thinking that everything turned out all right.... and then somebody else enters the kitchen!
There is always a logical explanation for everything. Just get yourself well prepared when starting a nighty excursion.
Maybe we shouldn´t 'legalize' midnight pancakes. If the privily nighty walk to the fridge was alloud, it could probably lose its magic. There should be still the 'air of the forbidden' when we secretly meet in the kitchen at 2:30am to enjoy some delicious self-made pancakes and talk about the universe...:-)

I stick with the basics, LOTS of butter and LOTS of syrup...
...and bacon...LOTS of bacon ;>
