RE: EcoKnowme for Hire. Permaculture Help to your rescue!

in #life7 years ago

Hey @ecoknowme, I left a direct message in the slack group we've chatted in before. I'm still not too fond of co-authoring articles (not saying no, but still gotta warm up to the idea). However, there is another idea about a potential group effort in the brewing. It has to do with a contest, lots of interactive participation, and homestead products to win. In the slack message I wrote more about it, but not the details. They still need to be worked out, hopefully in a group effort as well. :-)

Great, thanks so much. I thnk co authoring might be too direct and misleading. Really I just wanted to voice how much I appreciate your eyes and ears in these departments and more realistically was hoping you could keep an eye out for material that could be improved on, in this case, mine. But since that seems to come naturally, it was a bit redundant. Will check the msgs now... gracias!

Of course, but I think I would do that anyway. Just ask questions or point out that something is not clear, or I'd known otherwise. The first week it's still editable, but even then it's no tragedy: There can always be a follow-up post, by either of us.

True, but easier to give a heads up and think in terms of the ages and ages from now. We CAN be less engaged because we don't even need to think about the paper we waste. Just our efforts, other people's time and incomplete information. I saw a video (I won't name names) and it was of him giving Steemit advice in the hospital not long after his wife gave birth. He was advising that by breaking up posts, you can make more money. Which is true. But If I could tell you how to build a water system or how to protect yourself from water diseases, you might not want to wait through the whole series... I dunno, just makes me wonder how the whole 'medium is the message' affects us as people, and why. Oh and here is that water video in case you didn't want to wait

Well, it always depends on the situation. Sometimes I don't like videos because they take time to watch. If I were to read the same text, I could skim the info much faster for what I need. Other times, I rather just lean back and absorb the complete audiovisual.

Well, I entered the contest with this idea: https://steemit.com/contest/@stortebeker/contest-what-i-would-do-with-50-sbd Take a look and tell me what you think. I guess even if I don't win, it should be possible to organize a producers' ring, or something along those lines.

Sooooo Cool! Hope others see the forest and not just an uncarved block. I also have a contact here who can help me connect people with incense, natural soaps and the new treat.... Avacado oil... Shall see what people want and have to offer... Steemit might start to look like the opening scene to 'La Belle Verte" soon enough!!!
