What a great story. That's a simple lesson to learn, but also profound, and I can only imagine the impact this experience must have had on you as a kid. Hollywood could not create a better teaching example!
Thanks! I chalk this one up to "everything happens for a reason". Maybe fate knew I'd be a teacher someday... still stinks for the little girl though. I hope it gave her a good story to tell at least. I know the dad had one. He should be very proud of himself!
