Swarm Of Invading Insects

We were already about to go to bed when out of nowhere these flying swarm of winged insects came.

what do you think these are?
Photo above shows the insects that fell. We put a tub of water under the light source where they love to gather around and when they fall they will hit the water below. Very basic way to get rid of them

See how big the swarm they formed. I could not get near because they will definitely crawl around and I'm afraid if they get inside my ears so I took this photo from afar

This is the tool shed where there is another light source. We hang a piece of onion to drive them away and I think it worked. It is getting late we can't go to our rooms to sleep will wait for a few more minutes
