Key Life Habits That Should Never Be Overlooked
I am one person who is usually focused on self- development. More of an enthusiast in relation to working on myself with the aim of achieving growth in all spheres which leaves me overly motivated most times to observe, take note, make subtraction and additions on my habit list.
My habit list was recently reviewed with new observations made, no one is actually perfect but a trial towards perfection is no sin. Sanity and the right mannerism is expected in all our actions which is why we as humans need to pay more attention to our habits as they are things we do regularly by default and have the ability to send across either a positive or negative impression about our personality.
The things we do repeatedly are the things that make us what we are, therefore making it important to be conscious of our lifestyle and habits even though halting or establishing new ones might seem unrealistically difficult. This is because you can’t change your life without changing something you do daily as the secret to an individuals success or failure is discovered in your daily routine which are those things you have been doing all these while without ascribing significant importance to but plays a significant role in strengthening or diminishing your character.
The secret of our success is embedded in your routines, that is why you need to;
Smile More
Smiling we all know has quite a number of benefits asides just making you look younger but it also helps you appear more positive, approachable, attractive and conveys a good impression about you to individuals been met for the first time. Life is not a bed of roses so there is a likelihood of we having our bad days, but rather than looking grumpy you could rub it off with a smile.

Rising Early
It’s a general belief that early risers are usually smart and disciplined individuals basically because of the level of self-discipline and mastery required to get out of bed early regardless of the time they slept. This could be considered true because we all know how annoying it could be hearing your alarm come on by 5:00 am, you would basically just keep putting in snooze till 6:00 am. Successful people are usually early risers.
According to research it was discovered that individuals that slept less are usually more intelligent.
Stop procrastinating
This is one habit most of us are guilt off, the act of postponing things that ought to be done now to a later time till it becomes too late. It could be hard not to procrastinate most times but the moment you can condition your mind to accomplish tasks at the right time and when due, you are likely to be more organized and efficient.
Avoid procrastination, it’s the killer of time.
Socialize the right way
When socializing, you shouldn’t be everywhere, with everyone at all times. Self-respect is key as people would only respect you after you have learnt to respect yourself. You should learn to socialize with the right people, those who can impact you positively and contribute to your own self-development. This is the major reason why successful people keep friends and company with other successful people and mentors as such association would result in positive and synergetic outcomes.
Be polite
The secret to having an excellent communication with anyone is by making them feel important when you speak to them. How can you achieve this when you aren’t polite but rather rude in your utterances? Being polite is an essential skill in life to help make the sail smooth and reduce chances of creating enemies in your journey.
Compliments
This is something you can pay /give that costs nothing. It basically involves making someone else feel happy with your words. One thing we need to realize is as we grow old, you tend to discover that the two hands you have are for 2 reasons. One is to help yourself while the other is for helping others. Making good compliments to the people around you is one way to start helping others until you can make more tangible input/contributions to their lives.
Always stay positive
The saying goes ‘’If you believe, you can achieve” but what about an individual that has written himself off completely that any good thing won't come through...How is such a person supposed to achieve anything? Our positivity determines our attitude towards life and helps us stay driven and enthusiastic that good things would happen thereby boosting our belief and confidence in ourselves.
You have nothing to lose by being positive but a lot to lose from being negative

Our habits determine who we are and the representation we create about ourselves. Living a life to affect others positively as well as find happiness should be the goal rather than paying less attention to the things that matter and living recklessly. Sit down, evaluate yourself and identify those habits/manners that are not appropriate, then initiate an overhaul without forgetting to institute the above points where necessary. I hope the list above inspires and guides you in making those corrections today.
