Steemit-Uyo Care: a touch of love
Hello Steemians!
It is already in the second month of the year but it wouldn't be out of place to wish to you a great 2018.
The month of February is popularly known to be a month of love as a result the event of the of the Valentine's day celebration, although love isn't supposed to be expressed just once at a particular time or season but rather it should be done on every day of every month throughout the year.
However, the euphoria of Valentine is mostly felt in this month and we as a community have decided to radiate love to others during this season.
The @steemit-uyo community on the 14th day of February 2018 through the collective efforts the members of her community will be expressing love to its community through a special visitation to children's orphanage, the theme for this voluntary community service have been themed Steemit-Uyo Cares.
What We Hope To Achieve
Just as @samuelwealth who is the chairperson for this event says rightly;
Some of us are not just here to earn a living, but to shine so bright in love, kindness and benevelence so that because of us those children would have a reason to smile again
In the city of Uyo, there is a large number of children who are orphaned, most of these little one have been opportuned to find shelter of some orphanages owned by well meaning members from the Uyo community, while most of these ones are well are well catered for within these orphanages others do not fair too well, this as a result of the in non availability of sufficient relieve materials such as food items, toiletries, clothing materials, play materials, as well as learning materials, the steemit-Uyo touch of love will look to supply these ones with these much needed relieve materials, we want as to give hope to these children, we want to let them know that there are still people who care, we want to do this as community, we want to show that Steemit-Uyo Cares
How We Want To Achieve This
Steemit-Uyo Cares is a community oriented program of the @steemit-uyo community and as such effort to make this event a reality is through voluntary contributions from members of the @steemit-uyo community, these contributions is what will aid in going a long way in adding a touch of love to the lives of these kids.
