The Chronicle of Turbulence and the Criteria of Choices — the Lesson of the Year

in #life7 years ago

This year turned out to be really turbulent with all those ups and downs, falls and rises. The challenges and difficulties I had to face taught me a lesson, a lesson worth the losses I suffered.

The Chronicle of Turbulence:

  • January, 2016 — the idea for my first start-up came to my mind and I began to work with the website and design social media groups.
  • February, 2016 — a spontaneous trip to Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, with a train. Then the understanding that you don't need much to travel and experience something new dawned upon me.
  • March, 2016 — a person I used to be friends with came out of the blue, and we began to speak to each other again.
  • April, 2016 — a seria of spontaneous trips (when you go to the city centre to take some photos and then find yourself 100 km from Moscow).
  • May, 2016 — the first visit of a business forum in Moscow. The web-site designing is in full swing and I get the first orders via the social media groups. I began to work with a novel about personal degradation.
  • June, 2016 — my registration as an individual entrepreneur, Google and Yandex campaign launch, my entrance to the finantial market (trading stocks) and the first cryptocurrency experience. Graduation from the university. Traffic acident (I was at the wheel) which dramatically cut down my fundings.
  • July, 2016 — my registration with steemit.com which helped me a lot to overcome the financial difficulties and improved my writing skills. Trip to Finland. The start-up turned out to be a failure because of some problems with the website and lack of fundings. The car is under repairs.

  • August, 2016 — the great Swedish experience with a number of great and spontaneous trips sponsored by steemit.
  • September, 2016 — my secomd visit to Sweden (both business and trying to prove my independence). A serious shift in my understanding of human relations. The introduction of no-expectaions principle.
  • October, 2016 — a spontaneous business trip to Kazan where I met the Guru who learned me a lot and changed my life perception. The Steemit forklog — golos.io — was launched and I became one of its early users.
  • November, 2016 — my appointment to an interesting position in an outsourcing company. A participation in the Golos crowdsale at an early stage. The first blockchain meet-up in my life. I lost a contact with a person I liked, but met some new acquaintancies with a mindset similar to mine. I started vlogging.
  • December, 2016 — I put an end to my official entrepreneurship and launch a new start-up inspired by what I see and read on the blockchain platforms.

Why do I need to introduce such an outline of what happened to me within this year? I earned and lost too much, and this year seems to be worth two or three previous years when it comes up to my life understanding.

The car accident made me stop planning too much and waiting for the future. The personal human experience made me reestimate my society and criteria for the new-comers. I left all the expectations from the others (what's the use of expecting something from people who stay with you as far as that's convenient? They will never change anything in their behaviour until they want to). The readiness to experince something new, to set off for new adventures without even packing your things — this is the thing that matters. Simply because you live now. Not tomorrow, not a year later, now. Make the best of it.

Thank you for reading this. My short confession about the rapidly ageing year.
