He was unaware it wasn't marked as closed source, with GNU General Public License, it was shared to the world, on Github. I'm not a lawyer by any means. But I just read more of this https://github.com/sweever/resteemit/blob/master/LICENSE I'm having him change the code, to be an upvote lotto. Don't want to step on any toes....
The repo you copied, and claimed as your own, was forked by a developer who was in a car accident. We have requested that he take the repo down but he has been in the hospital in Morocco.
