Hi @anaclark,

I think depression is normal, especially under certain circumstances but clinical depression is different from the type of depression that happens after something just not going right.

Clinical depression can happen when everything is right except the depression, or it can make minor problems feel like it's worth committing suicide over.

So yes, depression is normal under certain circumstances like you claim but clinical depression is an illness (if you accept the standard definition of "illness") and should be treated.
