Anonymity was the main reason for the creation of cryptocurrencies. I just recently wrote a post about how crypto developers should be anonymous. This could also apply to big players or whales like you. But then again, would you have gotten the power to create 30 dollars by pressing a button if you were anonymous?
Yes, because most of the Steem I have I bought in the downtrend when everyone was selling.
