My kids were shocked at the fact that I told them when I was in high school, I had to look up books on cards, and follow the Dewey Decimal system. My high-school age son knew about it, but had never had to use paper cards. I felt old!

Yes, looking things up physically is a thing of the past with Google around!

very well informed post! i agree with the handwriting con and i think it's very serious too! Also i agree with merging technology into schools but both the school and the teacher should be ready for this and know their stuff otherwise everything will go waste

That is very true. Both parties need to be ready and willing to make the change. Otherwise it is pretty much useless.
