When we talk about happiness and how most people envision it, you mostly hear them talking about having everything they desire; Cars, houses, jewelry, money etc. Most human beings believe that without Some things which their hearts desire they can never be truly happy.

It's disheartening when you realize that the modern age of technology which brought one of the highest levels of communication in the world through social media also brought a little problem which seems to be one of the major reasons why most young people don't have happiness at the end of the day.

Over two billion people on the planet of earth have access to the Internet which includes social media platforms such as; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and the likes. Which means over two billion people world wide log into this various social media platforms where they view Various pictures and videos from around the world.

It's easy to see something or someone living in luxury and mostly these young people feel that their life's aren't good enough and envy people they feel have more things in life such as clothes, shoes, cars etc. So in the long run, these young people spend a large amount of time trying to get recognized by the world and try their very best to show lavish lifestyles which are similar to people they view to be happy. Through this misconception the notion of an incomplete life is created, also known as dissatisfaction.

Ultimately when most of this young people fail to reach the level of fame or monetary value as these people who they try to portray, it often leads to depression and sadness. This system has continually misguided many people and caused poor mental health status over the years.

Therefore it is very important for one to ask himself or herself what the word happiness truly means.

Wikipedia defines Happiness through  psychology as a mental or emotional state of well-being which can be defined by, among others, positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. If one really looks deeply into that definition of happiness, you realize that happiness is primarily mental and is greatly dependent on contentment.

They are a large numbers of individuals who have a lot of money to buy almost anything they desire but if you look into their lives on a personal level, you realize most of them are not happy. The simple truth is money or valuables are not the key to happiness. A famous Artist with the name Johnathan Bellion in one of his songs stated simply, "money is not the key to wealth. "

So, One is not happy because of the material things he or she possesses but the mental contentment of saying to himself or herself that, 'what I have is enough for me. ' that simple tells your subconscious that you are comfortable and puts you in A State of calm and internal rest.

In the end we realize that we not only cannot buy happiness, we also cannot get it if we are not thankful and satisfied with what we have. It doesn't mean one should settle for less but it means one should understand that riches isn't happiness but mental well being is.
