Thruths

'There are several truths.'

This is how the young host of a popular Bulgarian show started his show yesterday. A host whose evening overview of world and national events I sometimes like. I mean, I sometimes like the words they put in his mouth, writing them on his autocue.
Yesterday he began his speech intriguingly. 'There are several truths.' But eventually, this statement turned out to be tricky.
And he concluded with the following: There is only one truth.

And it is that Russia, the biggest aggressor, criminal and culprit, has started a war.

I have already seen several FB friends updating their profile picture with the flag of Ukraine.
However, others are updating their profile picture with the flag of Russia.

I was really shocked when I saw this, and my initial reaction to it was to think that it was time to clean up my friend list on this network again.

But then I read a comment on a blockchain platform, which really made me think and completely changed my point of view.
It was about what is purposefully shown in the media and what information is provided to the general population.
It was something like: If for two years the media has been manipulating people by presenting fabricated data, only from the "one side of the barricade", why should we expect that right now the information given to us is really true?

And really, why do we, the little white experimental mice, imagine that we have all the information, that they will tell us everything - down to the smallest detail, what those big fish that redistribute the world over us, have agreed with each other? To us - the little mice? That they have lied to us for two years and right now, at the time of such an important world event, they will tell us the truth?

I have my personal fears. I myself am afraid that Russia will attack Bulgaria as well. And even in the next few days - on March 3, when Bulgaria celebrates its liberation and salvation through "brotherly Russia". Because in our country there are enough fanatics and mentally ill people who would provide the whole country to Russia. And enough times so far our Minister of Defense, already fired, repeated on television that there is no direct threat to Bulgaria. And when something is so insistently talked about in the media and it is talked about by politicians, it is clear that there is something else and there is a threat.

But despite my fears, I think it's worth considering this: There is one truth on the surface, yes. But there are probably many sub-truths that will never come to the surface. Because no one is meant to know about them, especially the small experimental mice.

I had denounced the people who changed their profile picture with the Russian flag as not very intelligent people.
But now I have a different opinion.

Intelligence is not measured by whose side you take. But whether you make an effort to consider both sides, to question both sides. Whether you make an effort to use your brain at all.
