Hello my dear friends. Today I want to tell you about the most mysterious and mystical place of my city. It Bald Mountain. Yesterday my husband and I went there to take photos and show you. To acquaint you with the history of this mystical mountain.

The inhabitants of the city of Bald Mountain is associated with a military fortress and a place where witches held their covens. About that mountain and still come up with a legend on which it becomes creepy. It is said that once at the very top of the mountain was smooth and black place without a single tree, so called "Bald Mountain".

At the beginning of the nineteenth century it belonged to the Mountain Cave Monastery, but in the 60s the city authorities bought the land and Kiev fortress was erected here. Interesting Facts:

- In the 1930 Bald Mountain turned into a military underground factory. During the German occupation dungeons located base "Tiger" tanks (and their remains are now found even on the surface). German troops during their retreat blew up the entrances to the dungeon, and those that remained in sight - mined and filled with concrete,

- Underground military factory was part of a complex which also had to go another 2 tunnel under the Dnieper (the so-called "Stalinist" tunnels) for a secret movement of tanks and an underground station on the left bank for further transport,

- On the mountain can be seen the antenna and a small building next to them - in the days of the USSR, these structures (radio №7 object) jammed foreign radio broadcasts. I serve this special part of the object under the Office of the technical department of intelligence and counter-intelligence of the KGB.
