The Future Is Now
When people talk about future, they talk of something very far or something that will happen many years to come. What they fail to understand is that today was yesterday's future and tomorrow will become today and again the past!
Whatever life we are living now, it was something we dreamt of in the past. It might not be as perfect as we envisioned it but we can always feel the pieces as things we anticipated.
I live in the present always because the future is uncertain. Although i prepare for it because it is the normal thing to do as a man. The fact that it is a norm doesn't make it a good choice. It's just because when people ask for your future aspirations and you have nothing to tell them, they tend to assume you are less human or you are just existing and not living.
The future, i tell people is today. Whatever you make of today determines what your future would be. Worry not about tomorrow but today which is the one you can hold.
Anything can happen in the next minute and that next minute falls within the scope of the future. What you do now before that 'next minute' will count and decide the outcome of that future.
The future is always here, we just need to see it, feel it and live it. Instead of waiting for a future that might not come, why not focus on the present that is here and make good use of it.
Remember, all you need to be successful and become somebody in life lies within you. Don't let someone tell you it is not there because it's in you.

You can't imagine how excited i am to be back on your blog. My absence really has made me miss many of your insightful contents, thank God i'm back.
I know a man who lived with the mindset that he won't see the next minute. This man actually planned for his end since the beginning and when death came, it was so easy.
Though he died poor, he was happy, always cheerful and loving. He died in his 70s.
His way of life is quite similar to what you propose. The good thing is, procastination was a taboo for him since he "knows not what might happen in the next hour".
We should learn from him!
