Well ...... if there is life out there ...... to my opinion, there are only two possibilities.
We are smarter than them ....... or ...... they are smarter than us.
If we are smarter than them, then I won't have anything to do with them.
In case they are smarter than us, THEY'LL FIND US LONG BEFORE WE WILL FIND THEM. ;)
I agree with you, I think it is highly possible that some aliens are more intelligent than us, and they may even know we are here right now, as well as some aliens would be less smart than us and we could find them first. ;)
