Clear Up Your Distractions- Some Tips for you

One of the main things that totally affect your productivity are the distractions around you. May that be computer games, social medias, music around your or simply the annoying neighbors. Distraction can kill your focus and deviate you from the goals that you have set in your life. Constant interuption during your work can great increase your time of completion of your work. Minor distraction maybe harmless at first but studies have shown that it can take up to 21 minutes to regain your concentration or focus.
Here are some of the things that you must do to clear up your distractions and boost your productivity.

Turn off the Notifications


You don't need those annoying emails, messages or game notifications. Turn them off when you are working. Yes it maybe tempting to quickly check your Facebook feed, but it equally easy to get carried away.
If you need some information through internet get it before hand.

Close unnecessary applications


If you need to work on a computer make sure you open only the necessary applications. Close all the unnecessary ones. Chances are you may get distracted when searching for the files you require.

Clear up your working desk


Keep you desk clean. Avoid keeping all unneeded stuffs from the table. Not only they can make your work difficult, it can also create a distractions.

Create ground rules to people around you


Make sure you ask your people around you to not to disturb you during your working hours. Politely explain them that you do not wish to be interrupted during your working hours.

Use Noise Cancelling Headphones


Not everyone has quite environment around them. If you have noisy environment then get a noise cancelling headphones. Play some soft music without lyrics. They can help you retain concentration.

Turn off the clock


Constantly checking time can also create a distraction. This is especially true when you have limited time. You'd find yourself frequently checking the time passing by real quick.
Eliminating clock from the equation will help you concentrate better

It's all Up to you


You yourself are responsible for lots of distraction. If you frequently stress about the future and not live in the moment then you are setting yourself up for never ending train of thoughts. Similarly reduce the amount of stress and anxiety.
Practice meditation on regular basis.
