One love keep us together

in #life9 years ago

In these days I'm thinking about some different things, but tonight my thoughts are focused and the same words: One love keep us together!

The last horrible terroristic actions in Europe, especially the last in Manchester during a show of Ariana Grande, had another bad effects: the panic. Few days ago, here in Italy (in Turin) many people thought to have been injured while they watched a soccher play on giant screens in one of te main place of the city.

"During the second half of the match loud bangs led to a sudden rush in the middle of the crowd, causing a surge that flung people against barriers." source

1527 people needed hospital treatment! Just for panic, just for a loud firecracker that was mistaken for  bomb. It's sad.

I think that the fear, the panic are not the right answer against terrorism, even if I really can understand the fear, believe me.

Instead, the thing that I can't understand is people who watch other people with suspect and say very bad words against them, just for the color of their skin or for their religion or other things.

This  make me very sad, because  some of my friends (italian citizen, born in Italy, people who work hard in Italy, but with a different color of the skin) who are discriminated just because these terroristic acts generate more and more racism.

So, "One love keep us together!"

Night night

Things have been pretty crazy around here in Portland, OR. 2 people were murdered by a man who attended a "free speech" like the one they held yesterday. Homeland security was there with hundreds of police. There were thousands of counter-protesters. After watching the live feed yesterday I think we all need to remember that one love can keep us together.

so sad, but things seams to be pretty crazy alll around the world :( I agree, we all need to remember that one love can keep us together.

its unfortunate that the colour of your skin now insinuated religious belief but unfortunately it does. I am mixed race and we fight with racism here just like europe and the rest of the world but religion should be the focus and only in solem reflection.

I live in a small city and sometimes I'm very shocked by some people who talk against people using a very bad language just for racism. Fortunately not all people are racists and in my city there are few racist and so I want to think positive about the humanity.

good call i welcome positivity its hard though to always stay positive in an urban environment, I will think about how i can.

Yes, it's hard to stay positive :(

Nice words silvia

nice post

I'm afraid the violence will lead to a police state. Race, religion, and gender have been politicized for a reason. I'm not buying into the fear, I feel like the masses are being maniplated for a reason.
