Walking in the night
The Saturday night fever seems to be just a memory for me. My old poor bones prefer to spent the time after the dinner walking around the streets in my quiet city. It's a good activity to breath a bit of fresh air and a bit of gym for our legs too. After a certain age it's necessary to move the legs, but not too much, you know ^_^ Ok, we are not so old, but also not so young to resist for an entire night to dance or something similar. It's better (for us) be quiet and enjoy the pleasure of a relaxing walk talking about this and that ^_^
During the summer we usually walk for a bit just after dinner, when out it's cooler than during the day. It's nice, because many people seems to do the same and we always meet people of every age, couples and families, people with dogs (there is a park close to the street).
This street (called Viale Arcadia) is well-lit thanks many street lamps and it's also a very quiet street, so every walk is a relaxing walk, a great thing after a long hot day. ^_^
Me and my hubby @paolobeneforti use to talk about different things during the walks and tonight we talked about our childhood memories, our grand-parents and our great-grand-parents and so it's always a nice opportunities to know better each other everytime (we married just 4 years ago, so it's wonderful discover ourselves day by day).
After we came back at home, we watched one of the best movie that I've never seen: The good, the bad and the ugly by Sergio Leone! Tomorrow I'll write about it, because is really something special!

I think post dinner walks are great as it not only helps to walks off the dinner so you don't carry a full load to bed, but also as you say great for a little chit chat. Sadly our nearest park is a good 15 minutes walk away and we have dinner quite late, so by the time we clean up is nearly 9pm. Always so many excuses.... 😣
We have dinner around the 7pm and the park is about 5-10 minutes walk away from my home, so we use to go there sometimes after the dinner. Other time we walk just on the street (the street to go to park) because there are trees and place to sit down, so it's always nice ^_^
