The Power Behind barter

An American great philosopher once said

If you start giving things you don't want soon you will start buying things you want .

It took me time to understand this quote and for some reasons ,I don't know why I pressed hard to know what it means. In fact I did not until I attended a business seminar. At first ,I was reluctant about going and as fate will make things , that seminar gave me an answer to what I have been searching for.

20 of us were present there ,and we were asked to pick one fruit from a basket with our eyes away from it, unfortunately or should I say fortunately for me? ,I picked up an unripe guava, Its a fruit I don't like to eat, after everyone was done picking.
Then the lecture began with an instruction "if you don't like the fruit you are holding , give it out or trade it" most people gave it out and some trade it". Then the tutor said "it's unfair to settle for what you don't like, and it's more cruel for what you don't like to take advantage of you" as expected we were all confused until he added the line "many people picked fruit they don't like but that doesn't mean everyone don't like the same fruit you hate, you could have trade it with someone holding a fruit you like and likes yours in return." He added "the things you don't like hold the power to give you what you like, the only thing it cost you is finding someone who like your goods in exchange for what you like,it's only unwise giving out things you don't like all the time in exchange for nothing "

    For the religious mind

Adam is an example of a successful barter businessman , he gave out his ribs in exam for Eve ,a companion . Abraham practice this kind of barter , he accepted giving out his only son Isaac and in return he was giving a blessing as the father of nation. Even God gave out his son in exchange for our redemption .

   As a nation 

America don't give out any free service , they do in exchange for what they love

 In relationship 

You give up pride ,and self to gain peace

Even dangote

Once gave up a seat to gain a blessing into his wealth

Life is all about using what you have to your advantage ,not negatively but positively . In you there are potentials,give it out in exchange for something . Learn the barter system and you will grow happy and rich.
