The Absent-Minded Me
I always have this Homer Simpson moment whenever I forget something:

Today, I left my keys. Yesterday I left my cellphone in the different areas of the office and sometime ago I forgot my umbrella when I knew it was going to rain. And it doesn't happen once in a blue moon,
it happens most of the time.
I go back and forth of the house several times just to get the things I need. If you observe me before going to work I'd be like this:

Exhausting, isn't it? But there's an advantage though, this pacing bath and forth contributes to my daily exercise, unintentional but an advantage to my physical health, got to shed those extra pounds! Hehe...
But kidding aside, sometimes this absent-mindedness sometimes tends to take a toll on me. When I'm pressed for time, I can't help but be late and miss opportunities.
Wikipedia states that:
Absent-mindedness is where a person shows inattentive or forgetful behaviour. It can have three different causes:
- a low level of attention ("blanking" or "zoning out")
- intense attention to a single object of focus (hyperfocus) that makes a person oblivious to events around him or her;
- unwarranted distraction of attention from the object of focus by irrelevant thoughts or environmental events.
Now I don't zone out and I don't get easily distracted so I guess I'm at number 2. I tend to hyperfocus a lot. And when I am in deep thoughts, all the things around me are alien to me. It's like this:

My mind is hyperactive and there are a lot if ideas in my head. It's like my brain cells are conceptualizing and grinding in the process. I get bored if I don't plan something or do anything productive. Ever since I was little, people wonder if I'm deaf or have a partial hearing disability because I don't respond right away whenever they call me.
I hear them alright, but my mind thinks they're not priority at the moment.

Well I'm not proud of being forgetful, and it sucks that people always remind me about my absent-mindedness. But I am always in high hopes because there's always a remedy, no problem is too big only if you believe!

And yes, a constant companion would be my notes!
I always carry a little notebook with me for my to-do lists. If I feel lazy to write by hand, I use the phone as well. People may think I'm texting but I'm listing things and of course making a blog in STEEMIT! Teehee!

So if you're like me, always forgetful with stuff, then by all means have notes, post-its, or request people or loved ones to remind in you case you forget important things.
If you can, write it on a visible part of your body or if you're that extreme, get a tattoo for it! LOL!

So are you absent-minded like me? Comment about your experience if you like. Happy Steeming!
