The way we aren't but actually are....

Times are changing,

As the clock ticks rapidly forward,

People are moving, and growing and aging,

And things are changing.

There was a time in life that a job could be a career,

A trade provided even when done by hand,

And generations of family, followed and learned from each other,

But the world is evolving and out placing the life of a man.

Technology is driving things along a parabolic line,

Steeper we go, higher and farther and faster,

Companies don't last a lifetime, nor careers, nor pensions, nor best-laid plans,

Cycles are shorter, today is a beta, tomorrow 2.0

Many want times to be great again, but past is past.

Those simple pleasures and freebies are gifs and memes now.

Instead of a living a single life today we may need two or three,

Public school, college, a career and early retirement have been value engineered.

The future belongs to those who can adapt and provide for themselves.

No one else's plan will save you.

But there still are places where things are easier, slower and cheaper.

Where values and time are different.

But be warned it's not near here.

It's another world, the third one from the left.

Lesser developed nations take siestas.

Seek out the hinterlands and take refuge.

And if you can get a wifi signal you can build your own domain.

Youtube, and an Amazon store, and a pintrest page, bitcoins, and of course Steemit.

There are pennies to be mined and pesos to be spent.

Frijoles and tortillas are cheap.

Adjust your priorities and you too can be El Presidente!
